Welcome to Forest Yoga!
Experience the tranquility and rejuvenation of yoga amidst the beauty of nature.
Forest Yoga is a unique and refreshing way to connect with your body, mind, and the natural world. This session is suitable for people of all ages, fitness levels, and genders. The exercises are primarily done standing, but we will also sit on the ground. You can bring a mat or other suitable surface for the forest floor, but it is not essential. On cooler days, you may find it extra comforting to wrap yourself in a blanket!
Dress appropriately for the weather and wear shoes suitable for walking in the forest. We recommend loose-fitting, comfortable clothing. We will be leaning against trees during the practice, so avoid wearing your best shirt. The event will not be held in pouring rain, but a little drizzle is fine.
Did you know? Numerous studies have shown that forests have a positive impact on the mind and body as a whole. Spending time in the forest can boost the immune system, lower blood pressure, reduce stress, improve mood, enhance concentration, speed up healing, raise energy levels, improve sleep quality, strengthen our connection to nature, and foster feelings of happiness! The essential oils released into the air by pine forests bring us many other health benefits. So, there’s no doubt that venturing into the forest is well worth it!
We will meet at the Arctic Sky yard at Ruijankeino 2 at 5:05 PM.
We will head into the forest at 5:10 PM and return to the same location by 6:00 PM. The yoga practice will last approximately 50 minutes.
