Finnish Championships in gold panning

Finnish Championships in gold panning

At the Finnish Championships in gold panning, the copper schools are buzzing and the pure gold bars of Lapland will find their pick in the middle of the most beautiful nature in the north. But did you know that even a first-timer can take part in a race – even if you do it yourself?
Tankavaara has been competing in gold panning since 1973. The event is growing strongly, as every year gold panning in the peaceful nature of Lapland enchants new people.
This year’s Finnish Championships will be held in Tankavaara from July 29 to July 31, 2022! Register as a competitor in advance on the official competition website:
www.tankavaaragold.fi
You can inquire about accommodation during the race weekend at Tankavaara Gold Village: https://www.tankavaara.fi/
At the Finnish Gold Rush Championships, the winners of the women’s and men’s series will receive travel gift cards for the 2022 Gold Panning World Championships. Winners in other series will be awarded with medals. In the childrens and youth series, all participants will be rewarded.
Breakfast, lunch and à la carte dishes will be served by Wanha Waskoolimies, which is located, just a few steps away from the competition venue and the tent in the competition area. Tankavaara is located on the border of Urho Kekkonen National Park. A selection of hiking trails will lead you to an enchantingly beautiful national park to enjoy the true peace of Lapland.
