Welcome to the traditional Christmas fair organized by Ivalon Yrittäjänaiset ry! This cozy event will take place at Kuulas, located at Rantatie 10 in Ivalo, offering a perfect opportunity to get into the holiday spirit.

The fair will feature a wide variety of vendors showcasing and selling local products. You’ll find beautifully crafted handicrafts, delicious local food items, unique gifts, and much more. It’s a great chance to discover personal and unique Christmas gifts for your loved ones or something special for your own home.

In addition, traditional Christmas porridge will be served to warm your body and soul. Come enjoy the festive atmosphere, shop for treasures, and support local entrepreneurs.

The Independence Day dinner will be served on December 6, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM as a buffet. The menu includes:

Starter: A rich selection of salads and fish dishes
Main Course: Pan-fried salmon, Karelian stew, and a tofu-root vegetable casserole
Dessert: Layer cake

Ilonka Farm Visit & Handicraft Experience

Let’s enjoy a nice afternoon together on the farm and get into the holiday spirit!

We will first visit the huskies and sheep, and then come in to get started with the handicrafts. We will make one or two different kinds of elves for seasonal decoration (felt and/or wood) and a candle from beeswax, materials being natural and ecological. Lilli will teach and assist you through the processes.

The place for handicrafts is inside the main house. We get to sit by the fireplace, enjoy the warmth, a warm drink and delicacy and the company. This is the way to get into the holiday spirit!

The event is held on Sundays 8th, 15th and 22nd of December at 1pm – 3pm. Choose which date best suits you!

Kiilopää Ski

Experience the magic of winter in Lapland!

The darkest skiing event of the year, Kiilopäähiihto, will open the skiing season on 14.12.2024. You can either compete or enjoy a more relaxed pace.

Series:
Ski Marathon 40 km. Classic or free-style. The race route runs on well-maintained ski tracks from Kiilopää to Saariselkä.
Good Mood Ski 15-20 km, no timing. The ski route is made just for this event in snowy arctic forest. Stop for a delicious snack by the campfire and relax in the smoke sauna after skiing.

Step into the Christmas spirit at the Artisans’ Christmas Market, where Kuulas is filled with the cozy and festive warmth of handcrafted treasures.
