At the Edge of the Fells
This tour takes you through landscapes where nature’s forces converge. We begin with an ascent along the slopes of Kiilopää toward Niilanpää. From there, we head to Teräväkivenpää, where you’ll stand at the headwaters of northern rivers, on a watershed dividing rivers flowing to the Bothnian Bay and the Arctic Ocean.
After taking in the breathtaking views, we descend to the Niilanpää reindeer cabin and return to Kiilopää. This journey combines the rugged beauty of the fells with fascinating stories of nature’s own watersheds.
Price includes guidance, back country ski set and warm juice.

Know before you go
Need to have prior skiing experience, but no previous fell skiing experience is required.
What do I need to bring?
- Weather-appropriate outdoor clothing
- a backpack
- a warm jacket for breaks
- spare gloves
- waterbottle and snacks ( we have one longer snack break)
- sunglasses and sunscreen
