Tour starts from the harbour of Koppelo village located 10 kilometers from Ivalo. Pick up is possible from Ivalo area ( 40 € ) and Saariselkä ( 150 € ).
We will provide warm clothing and shoes, as well as life jacket for the boat ride.
Tina and Tapio will be your guide, Tapio is experienced captein of the 9 meters long boat. Tinas family has been living in the area for generations and by joining the tour you will get a glimpse of authentic lappish lifestyle.
Boat is registered for 10 person and there is warm heated cabin and also a toilet.
After safety instructions boat tour will start from the harbour to the island where Tina and Tapio is living.
In the island we will make fire in lappish teepee and enjoy blackberry juice. Lappish BBQ is including traditional sausages, reindeer sausages, warm "Rieska" ( finnish flatbread ), homemade potato salad and blueberry pie. As the evening is getting darker, there is also possibility to see the Northern lights.
After dinner we will continue our boat tour to Lake Inari. After few kilometers by the river we are at the lake. You can explore huge open sky and the amazing lake in the outside deck or stay inside if you feel cold. Tina and Tapio will tell stories about the lake and Northern lights.
Captain Tapio will drive you back to the harbour of Koppelo by midnight.
