The Luosto-Yli-Luosto Trail takes you to breathtaking nature landscape to Ukko-Luosto Fell and the surrounding mires.
Pyhä-Luosto national parks oldest wilderness hut (built in 1949) is located close to the river Luostonoja, on the lower slope of Yli-Luosto Fell. The hut is a perfect spot for a little rest.
The Luosto-Yli-Luosto Trail takes you to breathtaking nature landscape. Some of the fell slopes are very steep and rocky so the path is classified as intermediate. Hiking this demanding trail rewards you with excellent views to Ukko-Luosto Fell and the surrounding mires.

Safety information
The trail is rocky and steep in places, which is why sturdy hiking boots are recommended. The rocks are slippery in rainy weather and autumn frosts. In winter there is no maintenance on the route.Tips and suggestions

Pyhä-Luosto National Park is located in Eastern Lapland, the distance from Rovaniemi to Luosto is about 115 km and from Kemijärvi to Luosto (road no. 962) about 70 km. The nearest airport is in Rovaniemi and the train station in Kemijärvi.Parking
The parking area at Luostonportti is located within the Luosto ski center. There is space for about 200 cars and the car park is also available in winter. Route signs depart from Luostonportti from the southeast corner of the parking area right next to the ski bridge.
The Luostonloma car park is located along Pyhä-Luosto Road (no. 962), about 4 km from Luosto Tourist Center in the direction of Torvinen. There is space for about 20 cars.

Dress according to the weather, due to the rockiness of the trail, good hiking shoes are recommended for this route.
In summer, a mosquito hat and an insect repellent protect against mosquitoes.
