Taivo Productions provides science communications in different ways, such as popular science articles, planetarium shows, skywatching, virtual experiences, lectures, photography and multimedia productions.
Our strengths are the knowledge and skills to help customers to enjoy the wonders of Lapland’s dark and beautiful night sky.
Taivo Planetarium is a portable planetarium, which allows travelers to experience and learn about sky comfortably indoors as preparation for stargazing outdoors later. We also make virtual tours to the universe, explain the science and myths behind auroras and answer any questions about space sciences.
Stargazing shows outdoors with telescopes and binoculars (weather allowing) enables a personal and often life lasting experience to see with their own eyes some of the most interesting objects in professional guidance.
Currently we both provide our planetarium shows in IvaloCenter in the village of Ivalo and travel to host planetarium and stargazing shows with our co-operation partners.
Taivo Productions also works to promote the knowledge and appreciation of dark skies and to avoid unnecessary light pollution in Lapland.
