The Challenge: 15-30 km or 40 km or 5km Adventure
The Kiilopää Ski Event caters to everyone—from recreational skiers to seasoned competitors. The 15-30 km route offers a serene but rewarding experience for those who wish to take it easy, while the main route 40 km provides a tough, timed challenge for more competitive participants. The new route is 5km, which challenges both those who prefer shorter distances and skiers looking for a “ski racing experience”. Rest stops with drinks and snacks ensure that all skiers are well-supported along the way.
Skiing Under the Polar Night Sky
What truly sets Kiilopää apart is its polar night atmosphere. Held in December, the event unfolds under the mystical Arctic night, where headlamps and moonlight guide skiers through the stillness of the wilderness. Relax with Local Delicacies and a Legendary Smoke Sauna
