The Saariselkä Ski Bus operates during the winter season from 19.11.2021 to 1.5.2022. Find the schedule below and here and kindly note that the special time table for Christmas, 24th and 25th December will be available closer to the dates.
You can use the bus as a hop-on-hop-off service when traveling in the area, with a daily pass costing only 5€. If you’re travelling from Ivalo, take the advantage of the connection and come and spend the day in Saariselkä or Kiilopää (Ivalo connection costs 10 € / direction).
There is a regular connection throughout the day to the Saariselkä Ski & Sport Resort. You can bring your skis, boards and sledges along and enjoy the day.
You can easily plan your skiing, cycling and outdoor trips so that you can take advantage of the one-way bus service. For example, skiing from Saariselkä Outdoor Resort to Kiilopää Fell Centre and back in the afternoon by bus or vice versa. The bus can accommodate skis, snowshoes and boards as well as bikes.
And why not to enjoy an excursion using the bus route to drop by for a lunch or a cup of coffee to the top of Kaunispää Fell, Laanila Savottakahvila Cafe or Restaurant Lieggâ Láávuu at the Saariselkä Ski & Sport Resort.
The timetables can also be seen at each bus stop listed on the route, and you can take a printed timetable with you on the bus. Printed schedules are also available at hotels and the tourist information service points.
