After our snowshoe adventure, we gather indoors to warm up and enjoy a delicious lunch featuring local delicacies. Savor traditional Lappish flavors and warm refreshments while sharing stories of the morning's trek with your family.
The excitement continues as we head to Saariselkä's famous toboggan slope – Finland's longest! Take the chairlift to the top of Kaunispää Fell, where breathtaking views of the village lights twinkling below await you. From this vantage point, you'll experience the enchanting darkness of the polar night.
Then comes the thrill: slide down the illuminated slope on traditional wooden toboggans, guided by stunning Aurora-themed light installations that create a magical tunnel of northern lights as you descend back to the valley. The combination of speed, Arctic views, and artistic lighting makes this an unforgettable family experience.
The day is suitable for all fitness levels. Tobogganing from the fell summit is recommended for children 7 years and older due to speed and slope difficulty. We provide all necessary equipment.
