Wilderness First Responder (WFR) | Ivalo

This intensive 7-day course combines the full 5-day WAFA curriculum with 2 additional days of advanced WFR scenarios and assessment. Delivered entirely in the Arctic environment of Ivalo, this hands-on programme leads to the prestigious Sierra Rescue International certification.

Get WAFA and WFR certified at the same time

Participants may complete the first 5 days to earn the WAFA certification or continue through the full 7-day program to complete the advanced WFR certification, widely recognized by guide services, expedition operators, and search and rescue teams worldwide.

WFR Refresher (3 days) is €550 per person.
An intensive refresher course for current certification holders renewing their qualification. Requires a valid WAFA or equivalent certification.

Minimum group size: A minimum of 8 participants is required for the course to run. Confirmation of whether the course will take place will be communicated by 6 July 2026.
