Experience the work of a reindeer herder and Finnish winter fishing on the same day!
Your day starts early in the morning. We’ll pick you up from Ivalo, such as from your hotel, and drive by car to the starting point of the activity. From there, we continue by snowmobile to the reindeer herd which consists of hundreds of reindeer. You’ll have the chance to photograph the reindeer and take part in feeding them.
After feeding, we head to a nearby lake where you can try traditional fishing methods, such as checking fishing nets and ice fishing. A warm traditional Sami hut awaits nearby, where we’ll serve lunch. The lunch is homemade reindeer soup or vegan wold mushroom soup, served with fresh cold water and warm homemade berry juice.
After the activities, we’ll drive you back to the starting point. The experience lasts about six hours and accommodates a maximum of eight people. The minimum group size for the activity is two people. Please note that the activity can only be arranged if there are at least two participants.
