Luontoloma Pro-Safaris is one of the oldest companies in Saariselkä, with a story that began in 1982. It still operates as a family-run business, honoring the traditions and nature of Lapland. The company has been awarded the Sustainable Travel Finland label by Visit Finland as well as the Ekokompassi environmental certificate.
In winter, we offer snowmobiling, husky safaris, reindeer tours, skiing, and snowshoeing. You can join the excursions on Luontoloma’s weekly program, or if you prefer, we can tailor a unique snowmobile safari for you and your group — even all the way to Inari or the Arctic Ocean.
Our rental shop provides high-quality cross-country skis for the whole family, and we also offer ski waxing and maintenance in Saariselkä. The rental shop is conveniently located near the trailheads. We also carry skis and gear suitable for winter trekking, pulkas, and snowshoes. In addition, we have expanded our selection with rental snowmobiles available for independent adventures.
Our very own gem, Lake Taimenjärvi, serves as a fishing base all year round. In summer, you can try shore casting, and in winter, you can experience the magic of ice fishing. Taimenjärvi also features a small private sauna and a traditional hot tub.
Join us in Inari on the Juutua River to enjoy the excitement of white-water rafting. We also offer longer rafting and canoeing trips on the wilderness-like Ivalo River. The surroundings of Saariselkä provide versatile opportunities for paddlers of all levels, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced kayaker. We also rent canoes, kayaks, and packrafts for all destinations, including Lake Inari.
