The Ijahis Idja Indigenous Peoples’ Music Festival will be celebrated in Inari village on 14–15 August 2026.
Ijahis Idja is one of the few festivals in Finland dedicated to Sámi music. Every August, the festival brings today’s leading Sámi music artists to Inari. A Duodji market is held in the festival area, offering Sámi handicrafts for sale. The programme also includes the traditional suopunki throwing competition. The festival has a long history, having been held since 2004.
This year, workshops for children and young people will be organised on Saturday. Čuovvâd and Loiskis will perform a concert for children.

Age limits: The festival is open to all ages. Children under the age of 7 are admitted free of charge when accompanied by a guardian. There is a separate licensed serving area for guests aged 18 and over.
