Inari’s 150th anniversary year will come to a fitting close at the Saariselkä Christmas Festival, which will also host the Municipality of Inari’s traditional Christmas opening celebrations. The anniversary year began in November 2025 with the Christmas opening event in Ivalo, which attracted a large audience. This year, Ailu Valle will perform at the anniversary year’s closing event in Saariselkä! More programme details will be announced soon.

Christmas Market
At the heart of the festival is an atmospheric Christmas market, where visitors can discover unique gifts and products made by local artisans. And of course, Santa Claus himself will be there to meet visitors and spread Christmas cheer!

Village Adventure
Join a festive Village Adventure for the whole family and discover Saariselkä in a fun and memorable way!
The adventure takes participants around the village to find checkpoints, solve puzzles and complete Christmas-themed tasks. Some checkpoints will test your knowledge, while others will challenge your creativity and problem-solving skills.
You can take part at your own pace, either on your own, with your family or with friends. Bring your phone, dress for the weather and set off on a fun adventure around Saariselkä!
