The Luosto-Yli-Luosto route leads you to breathtaking scenery on sometimes quite steep and rocky fell slopes. You will travel along the fell ridge to Keski-Luosto and further on to Yli-Luosto. Near Luostonoja, on the lower slopes of Yli-Luosto, is the Yli-Luosto wilderness hut built in 1949, serving as a good resting spot.

    Author’s recommendation

Near the Luostonloma parking area is the charming Torvisen maja, which functions as a ski trail café during snowy seasons and as a summer café during the summer months.

    Equipment

Dress appropriately for the weather; sturdy hiking boots are recommended due to the rocky nature of the trail. In summer, protective clothing, a mosquito hat, and insect repellent will protect you from mosquitoes.

Bring snacks, drinks, a charged phone, matches, toilet paper, a map, first aid supplies, and a trash bag.
