From the village Saariselkä, a wide, very well-marked path leads over streams with only a slight ascent to the fjell of Iiskkipää, initially accompanied by coniferous forests. Above 350 m, only the treeless steppe remains, which is then covered with the erika shrub typical of Lapland, blueberries, and low birch shrubs. The descent leads around the mountain and shows us the stark beauty of the Lapland mountains.
