Experience a traditional Kota dinner by the open fire! The evening starts with a short mini buss transfer to a cozy wilderness kota. Here you can relax by the fire and enjoy traditional way cooked salmon.
Kota has electricity but no running water, there is fire place in the middle where your salmon is cooked.

We offer soft drink like Coca-Cola & Fanta, and tap water during the meal, coffee and tea with desert. We don't sell alcohol drinks in the kota hut.
During the meal we'll speak about our favourite topic: Lappish food culture. After the meal, we meet and feed our friendly reindeer before having the transfer back to Saariselkä. Transfers take approx. 5-10 minutes per way, kota dinner 2 hours.
Know before you go

- We ask you to inform us, if you have any food-allergies or a special diet. Please, inform us if you want to choose vegetarian menu, we try to avoid food waste and prepare only meals needed
- There’s no need for fancy clothes, actually, it’s better to have comfortable casual clothes because you might have a little scent of smoke as a reminder of your visit
- We don't sell alcohol, price is including 0,33l soft drink and tap water
- There is no running water or indoor toilet
What do I need to bring?
- Kota has electric heating and it is warm but please, wear warm and comfortable clothing
- Since we don't sell alcohol in the kota, you can bring beer or wine for your own use but please, notice that this is family friendly dinner, not a party
